# Three first-teamers feature as U23’s lose to Huddersfield

Fraizer Campbell, Mathieu Flamini and Jordon Mutch all started for Crystal Palace’s U23 side this afternoon but could not prevent the young Eagles from losing 2-0 to Huddersfield Town.

The Terriers went ahead from the penalty spot in the 25th minute and doubled their lead just before the break after some poor Palace defending allowed Sam Warde to scuff home a shot off the post.

In truth, the 2-0 actually flattered Palace as Huddersfield struck the woodwork three times in the second half, twice from set-pieces and again with a shot from distance.

The Eagles, despite the presence of three first team players, couldn’t create much although Campbell did have a chance when Aaron Wan-Bissaka played him in, but he fired wide.

The trio will hope to be involved with the first team for the visit of West Ham this weekend.

**Crystal Palace U23 side:** Perntreou, King-Elliott, Wynter, Woods, Akiotu, Flamini (Husin 62), Dreher, Wan-Bissaka, Mutch (Williams 88), Berkeley-Agyepong, Campbell (Andrews 62).
