# Souare coy over future in football

In a recent interview with the [BBC World Service](https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04jqv2y), Crystal Palace defender Pape Souare has admitted that he doesn’t know whether he has a footballing future or not.

In September, Souare was involved in a quite horrific car accident that saw him come out with a broken jaw as well as a broken leg injuries that that ruled him out for the remainder of the season.

However, in his recent interview, he admitted that he was unsure if he’d ever be able to play again.

> To be honest, until now I’m talking to you, I don’t know about my injury. I don’t know if I can get back to football or not.

Although Souare is continuing to work hard on his recovery with the medical team at Selhurst Park, it now looks as though his footballing career has doubts shadowed over it.

Souare has been well supported by The Eagles faithful ever since the crash and they’ll be hoping that he can continue his recovery to full health.
