# Allardyce ready to sell Benteke to fund January signings

Despite only recently arriving at Selhurst Park, Sam Allardyce is ready to sell record-signing, Christian Benteke to fund a January overhaul.

According to the [Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/palace-considering-benteke-sale-fund-9599089), the former England boss is reluctant to sell the former Liverpool forward but is wary of the possible funds the Belgian could provide him with.

Benteke is thought to be a target for Chinese Super League sides, including Beijing Guoan, who would be more than willing to match or improve his £100,000-a-week wages.

Palace are keen to recoup the £30 million they spent on bringing Benteke to Selhurst Park, making a move to China realistic.

Benteke has provided a reasonable return for the club with eight goals to his name already this season, however, the forward is without a goal in five games.

Palace hold are interested in signing Jeffrey Schlupp from Leicester as well as Norwich’s Robbie Brady and selling their record-signing may make the moves for feasible for the struggling Premier League side.
