# Palace join the race to sign Liverpool outcast Sakho

Sam Allardyce will look to sign Mamadou Sakho from Liverpool in order to help their fight against relegation.

According to the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4129822/Crystal-Palace-join-race-sign-Liverpool-outcast-Sakho.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490), Palace will join Galatasaray and Sevilla, among other clubs in their attempts to try and sign the Frenchman who has no future at Anfield.

Liverpool are thought to prefer the idea of Sakho leaving Anfield permanently but it’s unclear whether the former England boss would try to land him on a temporary or permanent deal.

Sakho has had a torrid spell at Anfield this season under Jurgen Klopp after being sent home from their pre-season tour in America.

The French international had been forced to play in the club’s U23s side but has since been banished from that squad too after several social media outbursts relating to his treatment by the club.

He hasn’t featured in a match since New Year’s Eve and the club does not want to put a move away from the club in doubt by receiving an injury.
