# Crystal Palace given injury boost as duo return to training

Crystal Palace needed some positive news after the humiliating defeat to Sunderland at the weekend and the returns of Jeffrey Schlupp and Steve Mandanda to training may offer just a tiny bit of encouragement to fans who are feeling down in the dumps.

New signing Schlupp injured his hamstring in the 3-0 home loss to Manchester City in the FA Cup fourth round and it was feared that he’d be out for a long period.

However, just two weeks later, he’s back in training and is apparently in contention to play against Stoke City this weekend.

French Goalkeeper Mandanda has been out for a lot longer with a knee injury so it is likely that he’ll probably need a bit more time in training before he is ready to play in the first team once again.

The Frenchman has been out since November and having earned the starting role at the start of the season, he has had to sit on the sidelines as Wayne Hennessey has deputised.
