# Chelsea 1-2 Palace – Five things learned

Crystal Palace stunned the football world on Saturday afternoon as they walked away from Stamford Bridge with a massive three points.

League leaders Chelsea were tipped to put Palace to the sword when the two sides met but it was Sam Allardyce’s men that took all the plaudits for what was a hugely spirited performance.

The Eagles started the game in poor fashion, with Cesc Fabregas opening the scoring after just five minutes after a well-worked Chelsea move, and it was looking to be one of those days for Allardyce and Co.

However, the response was instant and Wilfried Zaha produced yet another piece of magic to fire beyond Thibaut Courtois in the Chelsea goal to level the scoring.

Then just two minutes later, Christian Benteke found the net after some excellent work from Zaha.

Palace held on to win the game 2-1, pushing them even closer to Premier League safety.

Here are five things we learned from the game.
