# Palace keeper agrees contract terms to leave the club

Crystal Palace goalkeeper Steve Mandanda has agreed terms with his former side Marseille to re-join the [Ligue 1](https://readcrystalpalace.com/2026/05/24/crystal-palace-battling-brighton-for-e60m-ligue-1-star-transfer-news/) side.

French outlet L’Equipe, as cited by [Get French Football News](https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2017/negotiations-have-begun-between-marseille-crystal-palace-for-steve-mandanda/), claim that the goalkeeper has agreed a three-year deal with the Ligue 1 side after failing to adapt to Premier League football.

Personal terms between the player and the club have been agreed but the two clubs are yet to agree on a fee.

Palace are demanding €5 million for the player that they signed for just €2 million last summer.

Mandanda has been unable to dislodge Wayne Hennessey as Palace’s number one this season, and he has also struggled with injuries earlier in the season.

Marseille have struggled financially of late and they were forced to sell some of their star players, but a recent take over as allowed them to re-sign some of those they let go.
