# Palace target Silva resigns from Hull

Crystal Palace and Watford have been [linked](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/may/25/marco-silva-weigh-up-watford-crystal-palace-after-hull-exit) with Marco Silva in recent days as they begin the hunt for a new manager, and the Portuguese tactician has tonight resigned from his post at Hull City.

Silva was unable to keep Hull up despite giving them an unlikely fighting chance, but is sure to have plenty of suitors now after his influence at the KCOM Stadium.

It was, in fact, Palace who landed the final nail in Hull’s coffin on the penultimate day of the season, as they trounced the Tigers 4-0 at Selhurst Park to seal their relegation from the Premier League.

The 39-year-old has been linked with a return to his homeland with Porto in recent times, but Watford and Palace appear to be the two Premier League sides in for Silva, and it’s England where he is hoping to remain.
