# Marseille agree deal for Mandanda

Steve Mandanda’s exit from Crystal Palace appears to be edging ever closer, with Marseille having reportedly agreed a deal.

According to leading French news outlet [L’Equipe](https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Actualites/Steve-mandanda-l-om-a-trouve-un-accord-avec-crystal-palace/817012), the Ligue 1 club have finally reached an agreement with the Eagles and Mandanda is set to return back to his former club.

The experienced shot stopper signed for Palace only last summer in what was an initially exciting move for the Eagles’ fans.

However, it has not gone to plan for Mandanda and life in English football hasn’t brought the success he had hoped for. This has prompted him to seek a move back home.

It’s stated that the Frenchman is to put pen to paper on a three-year deal with Marseille, as the 32-year-old hopes to take the number one spot under Rudi Garcia for next season.

Previously, it had been reported that Palace were keen to take €8m from the sale of Mandanda, so it looks as though a deal has been struck for around that sum.
