# Crystal Palace set to bid for Oliver Burke

Crystal Palace’s new sporting director Dougie Freedman is set to make a bid for RB Leipzig winger Oliver Burke, according to a report from Dominic Fifield of [The Guardian](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/aug/22/crystal-palace-bid-rb-leipzig-oliver-burke?CMP=share_btn_tw).

The Scottish winger is set to leave the Bundesliga side this summer and it’s thought that Palace are happy to pay around £15million to sign him.

Freedman worked with Burke at Nottingham Forset a couple of seasons ago and is said to be a fan and with Palace still pointless and goalless under Frank de Boer, it looks like there is a need to bring in some reinforcements in attack.

Palace’s new recruitment team will be hopeful of completing a few deals over the next few days, including one for a new centre-back.
