# West Brom pip Palace to signing of Oliver Burke

West Brom look to have pipped Crystal Palace to the signing of RB Leipzig winger Oliver Burke.

The Scottish international was reportedly a target for[Palace](https://readcrystalpalace.com/) who were lining up a £15million deal but it looks like Albion have swooped in to take him from under their noses.

As it stands, it’s not clear whether the 20-year-old is moving to the Hawthorns on a permanent deal or on loan, although it had been reported a few weeks ago that he was seeking a move away from Germany.

The winger was left out of the Leipzig squad for their season opener against [Schalke](https://readbundesliga.com/)and the [Bundesliga](https://readbundesliga.com/) side were happy for him to look for a new club.

If the deal is a permanent one, West Brom will likely be paying between £10m-£15m for Burke, a fee which Palace were reportedly happy to pay.
