# Celtic make bid for Palace target Jack Hendry

Scottish champions Celtic have made a £500,000 bid for Crystal Palace transfer target Jack Hendry.

The [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5223859/Celtic-make-500-000-bid-Dundee-defender-Jack-Hendry.html) claim that Celtic are looking to secure his services with Brendan Rodgers a fan of the youngster.

Newcastle and Southampton have also been linked with the 22-year-old in the past.

Hendry has been in impressive form for Dundee this season and is held in high regard at the club.

He is showing promising signs at the back and has caught the eye of several sides across the United Kingdom.

Roy Hodgson is likely to be busy in the new year as he goes in search of adding to his squad in a bid to keep Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

After their 0-0 draw at home to Crystal Palace, the Eagles sit just one point above the drop zone and are bracing themselves for interest in key man Wilfried Zaha.
