Zaha had a superb month as he netted four times and picked up an assist in Palace’s four Premier League matches in April.

The winger has been a crucial part of Palace’s survival this season, and has become the first player outside the top six to receive the award during the current campaign.

Palace looked doomed at the start of the season, but Roy Hodgson has led them to 11th in the table as it stands, with one game to go.

Zaha missed the start of the season through injury but has gone on to score eight goals and provide three assists in the Premier League.
