# Palace forced to wait for Sarri’s decision in Loftus-Cheek deal

Crystal Palace are being forced to wait before finding out whether or not they can re-sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan from Chelsea this summer.

According to the [London Evening Standard](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/crystal-palace-transfer-news-and-targets-what-we-know-about-roy-hodgson-s-summer-plans-a3888921.html?utm_campaign=Echobox&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1531820329), Roy Hodgson and Palace are keen to bring the player back to Selhurst Park for the upcoming season.

However, the Eagles have been urged to wait with the new Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri hoping to run the rule over his squad before sanctioning any moves.

Chelsea are being urged to utilise Loftus-Cheek in the first-team squad next season after he impressed at the World Cup in Russia.

Sarri is expected to play a 4-3-3 system at Chelsea, which could open up a spot for him in the midfield alongside Jorginho and N’Golo Kante.

Loftus-Cheek spent last season on loan at Palace but struggled with injuries, which prevented a lack of regular game time.

Any deal to take the midfielder back to Palace would be on loan, despite suggestions that Chelsea could look to cash in on the player after his impressive World Cup showing.
