# Palace duo Ayew and Schlupp omitted from Ghana squad

Crystal Palace duo Jeffrey Schlupp and Andre Ayew have been omitted from Ghana’s squad ahead of their African Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Kenya.

The Black Stars will be doing all they can to get more points on the board in their bid to be a part of the AFCON next year but have opted against including Schlupp and Ayew in their ranks for the upcoming clash against their Kenyan counterparts.

Schlupp has enjoyed a strong start to the season with Crystal Palace and played a key role in their opening day victory at Fulham. The versatile wide man found the net as the Eagles secured a 2-0 win.

However, he has been dealt with a blow after his exclusion from the Ghana squad was confirmed on Tuesday.

Ayew, meanwhile, has not yet featured for Palace and will be hoping to force his way into international contention once he has settled in at Selhurst Park.
