# Lorient closing in on loan deal for Lokilo

Crystal Palace winger Jason Lokilo is said to be closing in on a loan move to Ligue 2 outfit Lorient.

According to claims from French news outlet L’Equipe, as covered by GFFN, the promising young winger is looking all but set to join Lorient on an initial loan basis in the near future.

Lokilo featured for Palace relatively often during their pre-season preparations but does not appear to be in first-team manager Roy Hodgson’s plans for the campaign ahead.

This has led the 19-year-old to close in on a move away, with Lorient said to be leading the chase for his signature.

It’s reported by L’Equipe that Lokilo will join Lorient on an initial loan basis. If the wide man impresses during his time in France, however, the club will allegedly have an option to make his stay permanent.

Lorient are currently sat in 3rd place on the Ligue 2 table and will hope that Lokilo’s potential arrival will boost their hopes of promotion.
