# Galatasaray considering Riedewald move

Galatasaray are considering a move for Crystal Palace midfielder Jairo Riedewald in the next transfer window.

[According to Fotomac,](https://www.fotomac.com.tr/galatasaray/2018/09/25/savunmaya-surpriz-isim) Galatasaray are tracking Riedewald as they look to improve their defensive options ahead of the second-half of the season.

Riedewald has played in midfield for Palace but is capable of featuring in central defence, which is where Galatasaray are looking to play him.

Galatasaray are set to move for Chelsea central defender Gary Cahill, who is set to be available after falling out of favour at Stamford Bridge.

If they are not able to secure the services of Cahill, they will then try for Riedewald, who almost left Palace earlier this year.

The Dutchman has failed to make an impression at Palace and was offered to Swansea as part of a swap-deal for Jordan Ayew, before he rejected the chance to move to the Championship. He may now get a better offer in the form of Galatasaray.
