# Palace begin talks over Gabriel move

Crystal Palace have entered talks to sign Inter Milan striker Gabriel Barbosa on loan.

[According to UOL via Sport Witness,](https://sportwitness.co.uk/from-brazil-crystal-palace-made-approach-for-22-year-old-agent-working-on-transfer/) Palace have opened talks with Gabriel’s agent as they look to sign him in the January transfer window.

Gabriel joined Inter for €30m in 2016 but failed to make an impact in Italy and has been loaned out to Santos in Brazil, where he has been on fire.

The forward has 29 goals this season for Santos, with Palace in desperate need of a clinical goalscorer upfront.

The 22-year-old has been capped four times by Brazil at international level, scoring twice for his country.

The report claims that Gabriel’s agent is working hard to get him a move to England and Palace appear to be the front runners at this moment in time.

Gabriel has scored 87 career goals so far in his career.
