# Real Betis interested in Riedewald deal

Real Betis are interested in a deal to sign Crystal Palace midfielder Jairo Riedewald this month.

[According to Radio Galega, via Calcio Mercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/crystal-palace-c-e-una-nuova-pretendente-per-riedewald-32534), Riedewald is a target for Betis in the current transfer window, with Celta Vigo also said to be keen.

Riedewald has found opportunities hard to come by at Selhurst Park this season, with only four appearances for the club this season – none of which came in the Premier League.

The Dutchman joined Palace from Ajax in 2017 for an undisclosed fee and signed a five-year contract at the time.

He made 15 appearances for Palace in his debut campaign for the club, with 12 coming in the Premier League.

Riedewald has operated as a holding midfielder and a central defender for Palace in his time at the club.

The 22-year-old has also been capped three times by Holland at international level, which came whilst he was playing for Ajax in the Netherlands.
