# Crystal Palace linked with David Okereke

Spezia forward David Okereke has reportedly emerged as a target for Crystal Palace.

It is claimed by Italian news outlet [TMW](https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/serie-b/tmw-spezia-su-okereke-ci-sono-standard-liegi-e-crystal-palace-1207440) that the Eagles are among the clubs who have been alerted by the good form of the youngster in Serie B this season.

Okereke has found the net on six occasions in the second tier of Italian football this term having made 16 appearances. He has also chipped in with a further eight assists.

The 21-year-old’s performances have reportedly piqued the interests of Crystal Palace, who sent scouts to observe the striker in action for Spezia in their recent 4-4 draw against Brescia on Sunday.

Belgian club Standard Liege are stated by TMW to also be in the race for Okereke after sending a representative to keep tabs on his performance at the weekend.

The Eagles could be on the lookout for a new striker in the final days of the January transfer window following Alexander Sorloth’s loan move to KAA Gent earlier this month.
