# Juventus join race to sign Palace target Kouame

Juventus have joined the race to sign [reported](https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/02/18/do-report-crystal-palace-battling-juventus-for-23m-forward-chris/)Crystal Palace target Christian Kouame in the summer.

[According to Calcio Mercato](https://www.calciomercato.it/news/331897/calciomercato_juventus_la_verita_su_kouame_ultime_cm_it), Juventus are interested in a deal for Kouame as they look to add to their squad of talented young players.

Kouame has scored four and assisted four in the Serie A for Genoa so far this season, after joining them at the end of last season.

Crystal Palace managed to bring in a striker in the January transfer window, with Michy Batshuayi coming in on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season.

Once his loan ends, Palace will need to replace him and are eyeing Kouame as a potential target. However, they may be worried by interest from Juventus – who can offer the prospect of Champions League football and regular trophies.

The report does claim, though, that Juventus are yet to open talks with Genoa over a deal for Kouame.
