Palace could turn to Chelsea’s Giroud in January
Crystal Palace are interested in a January move to sign out-of-favour Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, as per The Guardian.
As a result of the lack of game time that Giroud has recieved since moving from Arsenal to Chelsea, he is said to be considering his future at Stamford Bridge.
Having only scored five goals in the Premier League since his 2018 move to Chelsea, Giroud could well have his eye on a January move with the European Championships just around the corner.

Palace could look to make use of the Frenchman’s eye for goal. With 78 Premier League goals to his name, Giroud would make a much needed target man for Wilfried Zaha and co. to play off.
Palace are certainly an option for the Frenchman as they are among the lowest scoring teams in the Premier League so far this season, ahead of only Newcastle and Watford.
Other than a long-term injury to Tammy Abraham, there seems to be very few signs of Giroud solidifying himself a space in Chelsea’s starting XI anytime soon. At the age of 33, Giroud doesn’t have time to waste with his career reaching it’s closing stages.
