# Crystal Palace fans react to reports target Maehle is wanted by Southampton

Crystal Palace target Joakim Maehle is reportedly wanted by Southampton in January, according to reports.

According to [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11700/11889673/joakim-maehle-southampton-consider-move-for-genk-defender), the defender is a target for the Saints, who want to improve their backline as they attempt to avoid relegation to the Championship.

Maehle has also been linked with Crystal Palace, with the Eagles looking for a replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who left to join Manchester United over the Summer.

Several Palace fans have taken to Twitter to air their thoughts about the potential arrival of Maehle to Southampton.

The Eagles have been looking for a replacement for Wan-Bissaka for a while, so it seems to be a good move to sign Maehle.

However, with Southampton also interested, it will be a tough test for the Eagles to sign him.
