# Palace fans react to Hodgson signing a contract extension

A number of Crystal Palace fans have reacted to the news that manager Roy Hodgson has signed a new one-year contract at Selhurst Park.

Some Palace fans have taken to Twitter to express their frustration at the news, with Hodgson penning a contract until the summer of 2021.

The club [officially confirmed](https://twitter.com/CPFC/status/1235882953344942080?s=20) that Hodgson has extended his deal on Friday, as his previous contract was due to expire at the end of the season.

Palace are [currently](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) 12th in the Premier League and look set for another season of safety as they avoid a relegation scrap.

The Eagles are [nine points](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) clear of the bottom three with 10 games to go, meaning that it would take a drastic downturn in form to find themselves in the relegation zone.

However, Palace have also [managed](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) just 25 Premier League goals in 28 games, whilst conceding 32.
