# Angers set to demand €35m for Ait Nouri

Crystal Palace signing Rayan Ait Nouri from Angers this summer could be a statement of intent from the club.

[According to Le Foot](https://www.lequotidiendufoot.fr/ligue-1/espagne-ou-italie-pour-santamaria-6118.html), [as translated by Sport Witness,](https://sportwitness.co.uk/crystal-palace-will-pay-minimum-e35m-defender-signing-already-tried-january/)Angers are set to demand a fee of at least €35m for the left back, with Crystal Palace and Atletico Madrid both said to be keen on the teenager.

[The report claims](https://sportwitness.co.uk/crystal-palace-will-pay-minimum-e35m-defender-signing-already-tried-january/) that Angers rejected an offer of €30m from an unnamed Premier League club during the January transfer window, although it is not clear as to whether or not that was Palace.

If Palace could complete a mega deal for the 18-year-old talent, it could be a signal to the rest of the Premier League that they are ready to compete for a place in the top six.

Whilst Palace have been teetering around the top 10, signing quality players and investing big money could help them to start fighting for a top-six finish by improving their squad.

Nouri, despite only being 18, has impressed in Ligue 1 for Angers this season. He has recorded a [WhoScored rating](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/355401/Show/Rayan-Ait-Nouri) of 6.74 and provided two assists from fullback for the French outfit. With a European giant like Atletico Madrid also keen, Palace swooping in to secure a deal could be a real coup for the club.
