# Palace fans praise Milivojevic on his birthday

A lot of Crystal Palace fans are sending their praise to captain Luka Milivojevic on his birthday following a post by the club on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/CPFC/status/1247439574441304064?s=20).

The central midfielder turns [29](https://www.premierleague.com/players/5859/Luka-Milivojevic/overview), and has had a very successful career since he [signed](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/luka-milivojevic/transfers/spieler/74300) for the club in January 2017 from Olympiakos for £13.59 million.

He has scored 26 [goals](https://www.premierleague.com/players/5859/Luka-Milivojevic/stats) since his arrival, with[21](https://www.premierleague.com/players/5859/Luka-Milivojevic/stats) of those coming from penalties. It is a really impressive tally seeing as he has only missed two penalties during his time in South London, giving him an impressive [91%](https://percentagecalculator.net/)success rate.

Even though he is a fan favourite, the Serbian has struggled this season, and has recently lost his position in the [starting eleven](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/crystal-palace), with Roy Hodgson favouring Irish midfielder James McCarthy.

Before he was dropped, he was suspended [twice](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/luka-milivojevic/elfmetertore/spieler/74300/plus/0?saison_id=ges&wettbewerb_id=GB1) this season, one for too many yellow cards and the other for a straight red in the FA Cup against Derby. He was not been performing at his best, so a break from the side might have been the best thing for him.
