# Christian Norgaard Interest Gives Crystal Palace Midfield Option

**Crystal Palace have been handed a fresh midfield transfer line after SportsBoom reported that the Eagles are monitoring Christian Norgaard’s Arsenal situation.**

[SportsBoom reports](https://www.sportsboom.com/football/exclusive-christian-norgaard-available-as-arsenal-prepare-summer-clearout-to-fund-new-signings/) that the 32-year-old is available as Arsenal reshape Mikel Arteta’s squad, with Bournemouth also named as admirers.

[CaughtOffside has since framed](https://www.caughtoffside.com/2026/06/27/crystal-palace-christian-norgaard-arsenal-transfer/) Palace as a possible exit route for a player who has struggled for regular minutes since moving across London.

Norgaard would not be a resale play.

He would be a short-term control signing: Premier League experience, defensive discipline and dressing-room authority for a side preparing to balance domestic demands with another European campaign.

## Sage Gets A Different Kind Of Transfer Option

That matters for Pierre Sage because Palace’s midfield conversation has been dominated by value and protection.

Adam Wharton’s market status remains a major strategic thread, while Cheick Doucoure and Jefferson Lerma cannot be expected to absorb every physical load next season.
