# Crystal Palace Stars Gozo and Richards Earn USMNT Call-Ups Alongside Timber’s Netherlands Selection

Crystal Palace manager [Pierre Sage](https://readcrystalpalace.com/2026/09/18/adam-wharton-crystal-palace-europa-league-win-lech-poznan/) will have to plan his training sessions without a few key faces over the coming weeks, but the club has plenty of reasons to celebrate on the international stage. Winger [Zavier Gozo](https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/zavier-gozo-earns-first-call-005121158.html)has earned his very first senior call-up to the United States Men’s National Team, joining forces with fellow Eagle [Chris Richards](https://readcrystalpalace.com/2026/09/17/crystal-palace-vs-lech-poznan-confirmed-lineups-europa-league/)in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.

The American coaching staff named both Palace men in a bustling 28-man roster for a heavy slate of four friendly matches during the September and October international window.

While Richards brings plenty of experience to the camp, summer signing Gozo will be hunting for his senior international debut after working his way up through the youth ranks, where he previously racked up 16 appearances for the Under-20s.

Pochettino’s side face a demanding set of friendlies against Peru, Chile, and fellow 2026 World Cup co-hosts Mexico and Canada. Richards heads into the fixtures aiming to add to his impressive tally of 40 caps, having anchored the USMNT backline through the majority of their matches at last summer’s World Cup.

## Timber Seeks Success with the Oranje

It is not just the American contingent packing their bags this week. Midfielder [Quinten Timber](https://readcrystalpalace.com/2026/09/02/ben-chilwell-speaks-out-crystal-palace-return/)has also received a well-deserved call-up for the Netherlands ahead of their upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures.

The Dutch squad face a grueling test in their group, locking horns with Germany, Greece, and Serbia twice during the busy window. Timber featured for the Netherlands during their World Cup campaign last summer and will pull on the famous *Oranje* shirt once again as he looks to add to his 13 senior international caps.

## Conclusion

Losing key first-team players always disrupts club preparations, but seeing Palace stars represent their countries on the biggest stages shows the real quality building at Selhurst Park. Whether Gozo grabs his maiden US cap, Richards marshals the American defence, or Timber dominates the midfield for the Netherlands, we will be watching proudly.
