# Crystal Palace vs Bristol City: Pierre Sage gets friendly game to experiment

**Crystal Palace will take on Bristol City at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon, with Pierre Sage handed another chance to work with his squad during the international break.**

[Crystal Palace](https://readcrystalpalace.com/tag/crystal-palace/) have had a frustrating opening to the [Premier League](https://readcrystalpalace.com/tag/premier-league/) season, picking up only one win from their first five games and sitting 15th in the table.

With the league campaign paused due to the extended international break, the meeting with Bristol City gives [Pierre Sage](https://readcrystalpalace.com/tag/pierre-sage/) some extra time on the training ground and a chance to look at areas that have not worked as planned.

Bristol City arrive in south London after a mixed start in the Championship. They have won four of their opening eight matches, drawing one and losing three, and currently sit eighth.

## **When is Crystal Palace vs Bristol City?**

The friendly is being played at [Selhurst Park](https://readcrystalpalace.com/about/selhurst-park/) on Saturday, October 3, with kick-off set for 12:30pm BST.

The fixture has been arranged during an unusually long international break, with Premier League and Championship clubs facing a three-week wait between competitive games.

Palace and Bristol City will both be missing players away with their national teams, but there should still be plenty of players available for the fixture.

There will be no live television coverage of the match in the UK. Palace supporters can instead watch the game through Palace TV+, with a subscription required.

For viewers in the United States, kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 am.

Palace’s next Premier League match is against Leeds United, so Saturday’s game allows Sage to keep his players sharp before competitive action returns.
