Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle has been announced as one of the front runners of the PFA Fan’s Player of the Month award for January against a number of players from teams that are currently in the top half of the table.
The striker has been in formidable form for the Eagles this month, scoring four goals in three appearances across the Premier League and FA Cup; the 24-year-old scored two goals against Burnley in Alan Pardew’s first game Premier League in-charge whilst also scoring goals against Tottenham and Dover.
Gayle faces stiff Premier League competition with former Eagle Jose Fonte, Arsenal’s Santi Carzorla, Liverpool winger Harry Kane, in-form Tottenham striker Harry Kane and Chelsea midfilder Oscar also in the frame for the fan award.
