Former Newcastle United striker, Shola Ameobi has signed for Crystal Palace on a deal until the end of the season on a free transfer.
The 33-year-old had been without a club since leaving Turkish side Gaziantep at the end of 2014, a club that he had been at since leaving Newcastle in August on a free transfer where Alan Pardew managed him as a player for four years when the Wimbeldon born manager joined the club.
Ameobi joins a strong strike force who have been putting in goals on a regular basis since the appointment of Alan Pardew, scoring 12 goals in four matches.
