Teenage centre-back Ryan Inniss has joined League One Port Vale on a one-month loan as he continues to build his first team league experience. The 19 year old has already had spells at Yeovil Town, Gillingham, Cheltenham and Luton.
At 6ft 5, Iniss has been an imposing presence in youth football at the back for Palace. The transition to first team football is being closely managed by the coaching staff at Palace to help develop the player, who is held in very high esteem.
Inniss was captain of the England U17’s and scored the winning goal in the Victory Shield for the U16 side.
Once a target for Manchester City as a 15 year old, Inniss has had some issues with injury hampering his progress in recent times. The youth loan means he can still appear for Palace U21’s up until the end of the loan on the 14th March, but Inniss will be looking to cement a first place that could see the loan extended.
