In the first international break since November, a lot has changed at Selhurst Park. That includes a manager leaving and arriving among a host of players – one of which is included in their nations’ side for the first international friendlies in 2015.
Nine Eagles players have been called up to feature for their nations’ international fixtures of which are being played over the next six days with James McArthur, Barry Bannan and Mile Jedinak set to begin the proceedings for the Eagles contingent, with the Scottish duo set to feature against Northern Ireland tonight as well as Jedinak due to captain his side out against Germany.
Yannick Bolasie traveled out to Dubai to join the DR Congo squad last night for the first time since the African Cup of Nations with other members of the contingent that play in England; their only game of the break is against Iraq on Friday, the same day as defender Adrian Mariappa features for Jamaica against Venezuela.
On Saturday, two Crystal Palace players could face off one another in a friendly as Kwesi Appiah’s Ghana face new signing Pape Souare’s Senegal; also on that day Wayne Hennessey and Joe Ledley travel to Haifa where they will face Israel in their latest Euro 2016 qualifier.
A number of players could feature for their nations twice over the break, including Crystal Palace skipper Mile Jedinak. A full list of the fixtures can be found below:
