Alan Pardew has put a hefty price tag on Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie, after the Daily Mail put a £10m bounty on his head earlier on in the week, leading to the Palace boss saying that he is worth “double that.”
The Eagles manager was speaking at Selhurst Park ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with West Bromwich Albion of which is managed now by Tony Pulis who returns to South London for the first time since his departure at the start of the season.
Pardew was asked about Yannick Bolasie’s rumored £10m price tag with the player recently being linked to a number of Premier League clubs for a summer move. Speaking to the media, he said: “They need to have a look at that, because he is worth double that.”
“Our players are going to be very difficult to take away. There are some fantastic players here and great spirit.
“We can plan for the future and ‘jump the gun’ in terms of transfers. It’s a great opportunity and we shouldn’t let it go.”
Joel Ward’s new three-and-a-half year contract was also a topic of discussion during the press conference with manager Pardew saying that “players don’t want to leave the club.”
