Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has said that him and the team will “repay” the faith that supporters of the club shown last Saturday at Selhurst Park, by picking up a result against Hull City this weekend.
During his press conference ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League fixture, the popular figure at the club admitted that his side made some tactical errors last weekend and is something that he must take some responsibility for and with the chance to match last season’s points tally of 45, there is no time better than the present to give something back to the fans, in a good result at Selhurst Park.
Pardew’s focus is now on a top ten finish with the Eagles this season and that begins with winning against Hull City on Saturday afternoon.
“Hull’s desire will be ten-out-of-ten, so if we can match that then we’ll have a great chance of winning the game,” Pardew said.
“My pure focus is to win this game. I do want a top ten finish now, because we’ve got ourselves in that position, and it certainly wasn’t the case when I walked in.
“That’s something that I know we’ve done well, I’m very, very proud of my players. They have been magnificent and our fans, too.
“We owe our fans a little bit. Last Saturday, we had the perfect scenario for a win. The stadium loved us to bits, even before we started and we let them down.
“We need to repay that faith.”
