Crystal Palace will be looking for a new sponsor next season as their current deal with global payments company Neteller is to come to an end at the end of this season, just one season after replacing long-standing sponsors GAC.
Neteller signed a two-year sponsorship deal with the club last summer but it has been announced that after just a year, the two parties will part company, leaving the Eagles searching for a new sponsor for the next few seasons where the club will be looking to maintain their Premier League status, having all but secured top-flight stature for a second consecutive season after being promoted in 2012/13.
The partnership at the time was negotiated by sports marketing agency SportQuake, a company of sport marketing experts who help consumer brands and rights owners to deliver commercial and cultural value through sport. SportsQuake have assisted Neteller throughout the season in managing and delivering their sponsorship campaign.
Speaking to the South London Press about the Eagles’ latest financial report, Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish confirmed that the partnership is to come to an end and that they will be actively looking for new sponsors in the build-up to next season.
“It was great having them,” said Parish.
“They are nice people and a good brand. But it is not the end of the world. We’re actively seeking new sponsors and very confident we can get a better deal.”
