Port Vale manager Rob Page has placed Crystal Palace defender Ryan Inniss on his list of targets ahead of the summer transfer window after a successful loan spell at the club which was ended by injury.
The 19-year-old made five appearances for the League One side and instantly became a favourite with the fans after a number of stand-out performances, with three wins without conceding occurring during his loan spell in which he also received a yellow card in each of the games he featured in.
Ryan Inniss is interested in the move and is something that could see his career push on further, rather than appearing week in and week out for Palace’s Under-21s side. After releasing a number of players from the club after the end of the season, Port Vale manager Rob Page has said to the Stoke Sentinal that talks have begun with the Eagles over a move:
“We have spoken to Palace and that is something the lad himself is keen to do,” he said.
“We are keen to do it so I think within the next couple of weeks we will have more news. But it is an obvious one because all the supporters know the impact he had when he came into the club.”
The youngster will have a decision to make however as he is one of six development players to have been offered a new deal by Crystal Palace, after a successful season saw the side clinch the League Two South title and fall just short in the play-off final against Huddersfield last week at Selhurst Park, to progress to the league final.
