Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle has fallen out of the first team set-up in recent weeks and is set to leave Selhurst Park this summer in the search of regular playing time, with Alan Pardew looking to offload the player.
The 24-year-old had a great run of form under Alan Pardew in the start of his managerial career at the club, scoring four goals in three games but has recently appeared on the bench or out of the squad, raising questions over his future at the Eagles despite Pardew featuring a number of fringe players in the squad for the last four games of the season.
Gayle is one of Palace’s most expensive signings, joining the club for an undisclosed fee in 2013 during Ian Holloway’s era at the club with the team only just being promoted to the Premier League. The club will be looking to recoup as much as possible from any deal this summer with newly promoted Bournemouth said to be interested in the striker, to help bolster their attacking options for their first season in the Premier League.
Formerly of Stansted FC, the youngster has had an unforgettable career so far, with a number of big moves in recent years seeing him move from non-league to League Two to Championship and then Premier League football in just a short amount of time.
