The news that Palace are on the verge of receiving a transfer bid for Scott Dann from Everton is losing pace after the club made it clear that the centre-back will remain a critical member of the team for the 15/16 season.
Dann, winner of Palace’s Player Of The Year last season, joined from Blackburn Rovers for £2.5m in January 2014 and is contracted until the summer of 2017. Everton were keen to bring him in to replace the outgoing Sylvain Distin.
No bid for the player has yet been received and the club will reject any that is made.
Scott Dann played in 37 league & cup games last season and scored twice to help Palace record a four nil victory over Dover in The F.A. Cup.
Dwight Gayle rumours are picking up pace and it is thought that Bournemouth have now made an official inquiry for the pacey forward.
