Bournemouth are rumoured to be put off by the £10 million price tag for Palace striker Dwight Gayle. The Premier League new boys have been chasing the signature of the former Dagenham and Redbridge man ever since they secured their promotion back in May.
Eddie Howe is still extremely keen on the player but will only be willing to pay around half of the quoted price. Gayle struggled for game time at the back end of last season and it seems Pardew is considering letting the front man go, although he has reservations about letting him go to a fellow Premier League rival. It is thought Pardew would rather lean towards a loan deal to a lower league to find game time with QPR, Burnley and Sheffield Wednesday keen to take the 25 year old.

Gayle looked like he was going to be an integral part of the Pardew era after he made an instant impact with life under the former Newcastle manager. He managed to score essential goals in Pardew’s first two games with a penalty against Spurs and an epic late winner in the 3-2 win at Burnley.
Having been released by Arsenal at a young age the striker worked his way up through Non-League playing for teams such as Stansted and Bishop Stortford before getting his break in the Football League in 2012.
Palace signed the Englishman from Peterborough back in 2013 for at the time a club record fee believed to be around £4 million. During that time Gayle has played over 50 games for the club. The striker has struggled for consistent game time all through his time at Palace and in recent time has been forced to play out of position.
