Yohan Cabaye has been linked with a surprising move to Crystal Palace, where the French international would be re-uniting with his former boss, Alan Pardew.
Ahead of the World Cup in Brazil, Cabaye made the move from Newcastle to PSG in order to help himself cement a place in the France national team with the time at his former club failing to have such an impact.

The midfielder believed that his consistent performances under Pardew were being overlooked by Deschamps, and therefore needed a clean slate. Of course, an increased wage packet was probably another influence on the move to the Ligue 1 champions.
“It went very well with him. I enjoyed it with him and he does a great job. The most important thing is to find fun. If I have to make that decision, it will be a pleasure to see my old coach.” – Cabaye to French media outlet, La Parisien.
Name dropping Pardew and speaking in a positive mood about a potential move to SE25 will be a blessing in disguise for both Pardew and Crystal Palace.
Cabaye also mentioned whilst speaking to infosport+ that he wants to be playing football on a regular basis and will be looking for a move to play week in and week out, with the Premier League being a league he likes very much but is a decision he will have to think about before making anything certain.
“There is a situation now where I have not had the playing time that I hoped for,” he said.
“My representatives are working to find the best solution. In the future, what’s important is to play every weekend.
“(It is a) league I like, the country too.
“There may be an opportunity, as there may be others. The important thing is that I will think carefully and make the best decision.”
