Crystal Palace have expressed their interest in signing Chelsea Forward Loic Remy. ESPN FC sources revealed earlier today that the South London side have made initial enquiries over the availability of the French Striker.
Eagles’ boss, Alan Pardew, worked with Remy during his fourth season in charge of Newcastle, as the attacker scored 14 goals in 27 games to fire the Magpies to a top half finish.
The French International’s form was enough to attract interest from Jose Mourinho and even though Chelsea activated his £10.5m release clause to sign him from QPR, Remy struggled for first team chances as he fell down the pecking order behind Diego Costa and Didier Drogba.
With the Blues now linked with a deal for Falcao, Remy may have to look elsewhere for first team football and it is believed that Pardew is keen on making the French international his first signing of the summer.
