Crystal Palace could sign Hull City striker Dame N’Doye, according to the Daily Mirror, should they fail in their pursuit of QPR forward Charlie Austin who the club have been heavily linked to in the past and in recent days.
The Senegalese striker who scored five goals in 15 games last season, including the two against the Eagles at Selhurst Park in April, makes the forward an interesting choice for a Premier League side following his current employers’ relegation to the Championship; and given that matter of fact, Hull are now looking to recoup the money that they paid for him.
Norwich and Swansea are two other Premier League teams that are understood to be monitoring the situation regarding N’Doye with it being reported that a bid of £4m would be enough to secure his services from the newly relegated Championship side.
It is understood that the N’Doye will be the subject of interest from the Eagles if they fail to capture their main target Charlie Austin, who recently received his first call-up to the England squad, who has been given a valuation by QPR of £15m – something that may prove to be a stumbling block for a move by Alan Pardew in the near future.
Chelsea, West Ham, Newcastle and Southampton are all reportedly interested in the former non-league hitman Austin.
