Crystal Palace have taken AFC Wimbledon striker, Daniel Agyei on trial according to Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail.
The 17-year-old made a huge impact last season, scoring 35 goals for both the under-18 and under-21 sides at the South London side, sparking interest from Premier League champions Chelsea. He is expected to forge his way into the senior side at Wimbledon this year but the Dons will face a monumental challenge if they are to keep hold of their teenage prodigy.
Agyei spent this past week training with West Ham, who had been preparing for their Europa League qualifying game at Upton Park, of which they had won by a significant margin. The youngster has also been offered a trial by recently relegated Burnley, meaning that the Eagles are facing stiff competition from other teams if the do attempt to sign the teenage striker after his trial.
Palace have also recently been linked with Luton Town striker, Lee Angol in recent days. The club yesterday announced that Jake Gray and Ryan Inniss have both signed new contracts with the club, to bolster the academy, following the departure of highly rated Mandela Egbo who moved to Borussia Monchengladbach after his scholarship contract expired.
