Crystal Palace are interested in Benfica’s Ola John and Swansea City’s Ashley Williams, according to Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail.
The Dutchman is valued at £8m, which Palace are apparently reluctant to pay.
Mokbel reports that talks have taken place regarding a transfer, but the £8m valuation is a stumbling block and Palace would like to get the Benfica man for a lower fee.
John joined Benfica for an initial €9 million 2012 after breaking through at FC Twente,
He prominently plays as a left winger, and has represented Holland at U17, U19 & U21 levels. He has also made a single appearance for the senior national team; he played against England at Wembley in February 2013.
The same reporter also says that Alan Pardew wants to sign Welsh international centre back Ashley Williams from Swansea, as he would like to pair him up with Scott Dann.
The likelihood is that Swansea wouldn’t sell their captain, but Mokbel says that Pardew is definitely interested in the defender
