2015/16 Shirt Numbers Confirmed

Crystal Palace have confirmed their squad numbers for the upcoming season on their official website. There are two switches to make note of as the shirt numbers are rotated to accommodate for the wishes of Alan Pardew’s new recruits.

Yohan Cabaye has been given the number 7 shirt, which was formerly worn by last season’s star man, Yannick Bolasie. The winger has consequently taken up the number 10 shirt, meaning that ex-Manchester United player Frazier Campbell has occupied the number 9 shirt for the season ahead.

Fellow striker Patrick Bamford will wear the number 8 on his loan spell from current champions Chelsea – though will hope to double that number with regards to his goals tally, having scored 17 Championship goals on loan at Middlesbrough last season.

Alex McCarthy takes up the number 12, whilst Chung Yong-Lee is yet to be appointed with a shirt number.

The fact that there are two numbers “To Be Confirmed” perhaps suggests that a new signing is on the way – as one of the numbers will be occupied by Chung Yong-Lee, but that still leaves a vacant shirt.
