Crystal Palace are in ongoing talks to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Adrian Ramos according to the Gianluca Di Marzio.
Ramos has failed to settle for Dortmund after he was handed the tough task of replacing Robert Lewandowski after the Polish striker sealed a move to Bayern Munich. Ramos could join fellow striker Ciro Immobile, who left the club this summer to join Europa League Champions Sevilla on loan.
The 29 year-old only managed to score two goals and recorded two assists in 18 league appearances. Ramos only arrived in April of 2014 on a four-year contract from Hertha Berlin. Ramos has also represented his native Colombia 35 times, scoring just four goals.
The news comes just days after Alan Pardew completed the signing of Patrick Bamford on loan from Chelsea. Ramos would add strength in depth to the squad after Pardew admitted he wanted to add strength to the side. Pardew even added today after his side played Super Sport United in the Cape Town Cup that, “I am still hoping to bring in more. We want more competition.”
Nothing is for sure yet, but the club did release the squads kit numbers today, and one number still remains open for use. Could that player be Ramos? Time will only tell for the Colombian.
