As the Eagles have completed the signing of winger Bakary Sako, we have found a compilation of his goals for the Championship side Wolves. It was thought that the 27 year-old winger Sako had appeared to price himself out of a move after he left Molineux in the summer, with clubs baulking at his monumental wage demands. However Sako lowered these expectations, due to the long-standing interest in the Mali international (running back from January) and a deal was completed. The fact that the start of the Premier League season is so near, may have also forced Sako’s hand in the negotiations.
Sako has been one of the best players in the second tier over the last few years, especially last season with 15 goals and 10 assists for Wolves as they narrowly missed out on the play-offs. His arrival at Selhurst Park on a free transfer certainly represents a good deal for the club. The player, who had also been linked with Leicester City and West Brom throughout the summer, ended his three-year stay at Wolves, having scored 38 goals in 124 games in total for the club, after moving from Ligue 1’s St Etienne.
