Crystal Palace have confirmed that under-21 goalkeeper Samuel Kettings has been sent on loan to League Two side Stevenage.
The young shot stopper played a huge role in his side’s winning of the U21 Professional Development League 2 South title, making 15 appearances between the sticks.
He’ll be in good hands at Stevenage as they are managed by Premier League legend and former England international Teddy Sheringham. The 22 year old will be looking to make his mark as his new side push for promotion to League One.
Sheringham’s first game as Stevenage manager saw them lose 2-0 so Kettings will be hoping to impress his manager straight away and become number one this season; clean sheets will be needed if a serious promotion push is to be mounted.
Kettings has played in League Two previously – having spent other loan spells at Morcambe and York City.
The Scotland u-21 goalkeeper has only been at Crystal Palace for a year, having been picked up for free last summer upon release from a struggling Blackpool.
