Crystal Palace may soon have to brace themselves for a bid from Tottenham for Yannick Bolasie, with The Daily Mirror saying that Spurs are now ready to send a big-money offer over to Selhurst Park having finally liberated themselves of the burden of Roberto Soldado, who’s completed a move back to La Liga with Villarreal.
The Eagles have only brought in five players so far this window – one of whom was a loan, and another was free – but despite that they’ve still spent over £22 million, which has meant they’re looking to sell some players in order to bring in money and create more space in the squad. Bolasie is almost certainly the most valuable of the players being linked with a move away and The Mirror believe that Steve Parish could sell if he’s given an offer of £25 million for the Congolese star.
This would represent a big profit on a man who was a cheap signing three years ago, and one who’s turned into tremendous value. The 26-year-old has made 108 league appearances for The Eagles since his move to Selhurst Park from Bristol City, with the latest of those coming in the opening game of this Premier League season, a 3-1 win at Norwich City, where he came on as a substitute.
